HOW IT ALL BEGAN...
This run was started in 2019 as a senior project by Mindy Fredrickson, who was a junior at Grangeville High School at the time. She wanted to do a project that many people could participate in while helping others as well. Mindy then thought to host a trail run at her grandparents house just outside of Grangeville, Idaho. She wanted to share with everyone the beautiful mountains and trails. When Mindy was thinking about where she would put all the trail run proceeds, she thought of donating it all to the Hospice program through Syringa Hospital. She was excited to donate to such an important program in her local community. Mindy found interest in Hospice due to their great purpose of providing the best quality of care to dying patients. She also saw the significance in Hospice helping patients and their families as well. Mindy has passed the torch on to her grandma, Lynne Fredrickson, who will continue on the tradition.
Proceeds from the run for 2020 will go towards a nonprofit community organization in Grangeville. Let’s get out there and run for fun and a good cause!
